Passports and Visas for Uganda


Passports

All visitors must have a passport - valid for 6 months upon entry - as well as onward/return tickets, documents required for next destination & sufficient funds for length of stay.

Visa requirements

The following DO NOT require a visa:

1) Nationals of Uganda

2) For stays up to 6 months by nationals of Bahamas & Malta

3) Nationals of Angola, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Comoros, Cyprus, Eritrea, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Italy (diplomatic passports only), Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Rwanda, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Vanuatu, Zambia & Zimbabwe.

Visas may be obtained on arrival.

Transit visas

A transit visa is required by all except those as noted above and travellers continuing their journey to another country by the same or first connecting aircraft provided holding confirmed tickets and documents for onward travel and do not leave the airport.
