Birdwatching and walking Safari
Day 1-2: Zomba Plateau
Leave Lilongwe in the late morning or early afternoon and drive to the Zomba Plateau, only one-and-a-half hours away. For the next
two nights you will stay at the renovated Dzalanyama Forest Lodge on a full board basis. Rising above the mist, the 900m Zomba Plateau
overlooks the historic town of Zomba. The entire plateau is a tranquil forest reserve, renowned for its temperate climate, natural splendour
and pleasant walks that can be taken through the pine forests in the cool air. In the afternoon you can choose between a birding
walk, hike or a mountain bike ride along the nearby stream. On the second day you are taken on a guided morning hike into the surrounding
mountains, after which you return to the camp. You have some time at leisure until lunch, and then drive or mountain bike to a nearby
waterfall. Return to the lodge at dusk, using a spotlight to view the nocturnal animals and birds.
Location: Southern Highlands Area, Malawi
Day 3: Day of departure

sleep in. Transfer back to Lilongwe, arriving around midday.
